International Register of Professional Bodyguards register now

The IRPB is not a bodyguard association or federation but is a registration system for all professional bodyguards and instructors worldwide. Registration will be recognised and maintained through the achievement of experience and the gaining of recognised qualifications and training. Its aim is to create a framework of international regulation and registration within which professionals in the industry can achieve the highest standards linked to best practice in the protection and related security sectors.

The IRPB exists to demonstrate that as professionals, we are competent and qualified to do our job. The Register will be a central feature of the professionalism of the industry on a global level and is essential in giving clients and contractors the necessary level of confidence in the quality of its members’ services.

Registration to the IRPB is open to ANY professional trained bodyguard worldwide, regardless of other industry memberships and association, and signifies that the Security Professional has met certain standards of good practice. The IRPB encourages a properly qualified base of professionals who:

  • Have at least two years verifiable close protection experience
  • Have gained recognised, approved and verifiable qualifications in close protection - wherever in the world they are based and whatever their military / security / professional background
  • Can provide at least TWO industry references.

Registration

Registration to the International Register of Professional Bodyguards is just £25.00 (50 USD) per year which covers our costs in verifying your detail and includes:

  • By giving the IRPB as a reference to potential employers, you can apply for urgent contracts and positions anywhere in the world as we validate and authenticate all your details. You cannot become a member of the IRPB if your details cannot be confirmed. 
  • Your membership details are listed on a secure offline database, with your specific personal password as access. You, and any third party, must quote your personal password to access / amend your information. By quoting your personal password employers can contact the IRPB for verification of your membership status. You may update your details twice per year free of charge.
  • IRPB Certificate of Registration and Membership Card confirming your status as PROFESSIONAL
